Do you have any examples of collaboration between the health and other sectors to improve population health and health equity in the context of budget cuts? Would you like to share your experience?

Showcasing your work
In connection with our recent document Intersectoral Action for Health and Equity in the Context of Budget Cuts, the NCCHPP is looking for concrete examples of intersectoral partnerships to improve health and equity that have been deployed in the context of budgetary restraint. We’d like to learn more about how you’ve navigated this context.

We can offer you a platform to share your experience, for example on our website, in our newsletter, on our social networks or during a webinar. Take advantage of this opportunity to raise the profile of your work and inspire your colleagues across Canada and beyond!

This whole process might even facilitate network-building among public health actors and those in other sectors through the discovery of common interests and/or challenges!

Eligibility criteria
We are currently looking for examples of collaborations between the health sector and other sectors that:

  • Aim to improve population health and health equity.
  • Include partners outside the health sector.
  • Have had to cope with budget cuts.
  • Are implemented in Canada.
  • Are conducted by organizations such as: public health units; local, provincial/territorial or federal ministries or agencies; public agencies; not-for-profit organizations; private organizations; academia.

If you are not sure about the suitability of the example you are considering submitting, please contact Camille Mercier, Scientific Advisor, to discuss it.

How can you submit your story?
Simply fill out a short questionnaire (5 questions) that will guide you in describing your example. To download the questionnaire, click here.

Deadline
Please send the completed questionnaire to Camille Mercier no later than December 5, 2023.

What next?
Between now and early December, the NCCHPP will select from among the testimonials received.
If yours is selected, we will contact you to discuss your experience in more detail and decide on the best way to share your story.

Thank you in advance. We look forward to hearing from you!
