This document presents the work of the Atlantic Summer Institute on Healthy and Safe Communities (ASI) in advancing Mental Health in All Policies through its Upstream Investment brief. The ASI is a leading example of civil society’s contribution to the advancement of Health in All Policies (HiAP) in Canada. This document outlines the ASI’s origins, objectives, governance structures, implementation mechanisms, achievements, funding sources, and evaluation tools. Developed by the Canadian Network for Health in All Policies (CNHiAP), this summary is part of a series showcasing the diversity of HiAP initiatives across Canada. Aimed at public health professionals and other actors interested in HiAP, its goal is to strengthen knowledge, highlight innovative practices, and foster the exchange of experiences and ideas at the national level.
