This team developed a reference framework designed to support public health policy influence. Intended for practitioners, this tool proposes a structured approach to planning and implementing policy-influencing strategies. It aims to support teams working within public health organizations in their reflection and decision making by helping them to:
- Define a public health issue and situate it within its political context;
- Assess opportunities for action and select the most appropriate policy-influencing strategies;
- Identify target audiences and determine appropriate communication formats.
The NCCHPP contributed to making this framework accessible to a broader audience by translating it into English, thereby supporting its dissemination and uptake across diverse practice contexts in Canada.
