This document presents the results of our data collection on public health programs offered by Canadian universities in 2022, as well as on students enrolled in and graduating from these programs in 2017, 2020 and 2021. It also highlights the key findings of the four data collections conducted between 2005 and 2019 on university public health programs in Canada and provides an overview of pan-Canadian initiatives developed since the early 2000s in public health workforce planning in Canada. The information in this document is intended to inform future thinking related to public health workforce planning and capacity building in Canada.
