A Webinar for Public Health in Canada
Emergencies can amplify existing health inequities, making it essential to integrate equity considerations into preparedness, response, and recovery planning. This webinar, hosted by the National Collaborating Centres for Healthy Public Policy, Determinants of Health, and Infectious Diseases, shared knowledge, tools, and stories that can help public health organizations build resilience and sustain attention to health equity in emergencies. This webinar was held on November 19, 2025.
PRESENTERS:
Claire Betker (NCCDH), Margaret Haworth-Brockman (NCCID), and Val Morrison (NCCHPP) presented recent work on the topic of equity in emergency contexts and provided details on a series of workshops on the theme, to be held in 2025-26.
